"Innovation is taking two things that already exist and putting them together in a new way." At IBM Watson Health, I applied design research methods to real-world healthcare challenges in the life sciences sector. From drug discovery to clinical trial implementation, my work ensured AI-enabled technology solutions remained human-centered while enhancing diversity in healthcare research. Leading a grassroots initiative with senior leaders and peers, I also developed the "Racial Equity in Design" field guide for managers across IBM. This work transformed how the company supports designers from all backgrounds, creating digital experiences that better serve diverse communities.
